Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator
Location: Great Witchingham, Norwich, Norfolk
We are looking for an Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to work at our Great Witchingham Site.
Main Duties:
- Contribute to the development of the site Health & Safety plan and monitoring of performance;
- Ensure that the site Health & Safety Policy is kept up to date and reviewed as necessary;
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents;
- Ensure systems are in place to capture and promote the reporting of safety concerns and implementation of corrective actions;
- Collate and analyse accident statistics and performance information for trends;
- Keep up to date with new H&S legislation, company and other safety information and brief the management team accordingly;
- Ensure lines of communication are established with enforcement agencies and emergency services;
- Help HR and Training Managers identify the health & safety needs and participate in such training;
- Assist the Site General Manager monitor the effectiveness of the safety management system;
- Coordinate and assist with timely investigation and formal responses to insurers in relation to personal injury claims.
Key skills & experience:
- A recognised Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Relevant operational experience – preferably within food industry
- Experience of carrying out Health & Safety audits
- Team Player
- Will be robust, assertive and able to withstand pressure and remain firm and decisive
