Turkey thigh joint with cider

Serves 4
  • 750g Turkey thigh joint
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 200ml water
  • 4 tbsp gravy granules
  • 2 large carrots, sliced or cubed or use several small carrots, washed
  • 300ml cider
  • 1 cooking apple, peeled and sliced
  • Chopped parsley to garnish
  • Heat the casserole saucepan, add the onion with the turkey thigh joint and sear until golden
  • Dissolve the gravy granules in the water. Add to the casserole
  • Add the carrots, cider and apple. Bring to the boil and cover
  • Place in an oven pre-heated to 180ºc (160 ºc Fan) for approximately 2 hours.
