Sweet and Sour Turkey Recipe

Serves 4
  • 100g Roast Turkey Breast Pieces - 3 packs
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 red pepper, cut into wedges
  • 1 green pepper, cut into wedges
  • 1 can beansprouts, drained
  • 1 can sliced bamboo
  • 1 can pineapple chunks – keep the juice!
  • 50ml vinegar
  • 25 g tomato paste
  • 220g tinned tomatoes
  • 250g noodles
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

  1. Heat oil in a pan, and fry the onions and peppers for 2mins
  2. Reduce the heat to medium, and add the vinegar. Cook until the vinegar has reduced slightly.
  3. Add the tomatoes and paste and heat until ‘saucy’
  4. Stir in the beansprouts, bamboo and pineapple
  5. Check taste, and adjust if needed – the pineapple juice can be added to sweeten, and the sauce can be thickened with a little cornflour mixed with cold water.
  6. Fold in the Roast Turkey Breast Pieces.
  7. Serve with noodles, cooked as the packet guidelines
