Quick Dinners for Kids

Prepare the quickest and most delicious of kids teas, a Turkey Rice Salad and Turkey Omelette, to fill those rumbling stomachs

We used the Bernard Matthews Roast Turkey Slices and Roast Turkey Breast Chunks to make some really quick and easy dishes.”

Turkey Rice Salad

  • 2 packs microwave rice
  • 1 pack Bernard Matthews Roast Turkey slices, sliced into strips
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • ½ tub of fat free sour cream
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Handful of lettuce leaves

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions
  2. Place all ingredients except lettuce in a medium bowl & toss together
  3. Serve on lettuce leaves

Turkey Omelette


  1. Combine eggs and salt and pepper and beat well
  2. Combine turkey, onion and pepper
  3. Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat
  4. Pour in the egg mixture
  5. Let the omelette cook, without stirring, until it is about three-quarters cooked
  6. Carefully loosen with a spatula and flip over
  7. When the underside is cooked, spread the turkey, onions & pepper on one half of the omelette
  8. Spread the cheese over the top
  9. Once the cheese has melted fold the other half of the omelette over the filling

Cook time: 10 minutes
