Jar Salad

Fuss-free picnic food that gives you more time to spend outdoors in the sun!

Summer is just around the corner and the jar salad is a way of sprucing up your every-day lunch! With layers of colour and tasty Bernard Matthews Turkey Breast Chunks to fill you up, the jar salad is perfect for snacking in the sunshine and turning that boring plastic container into something a bit more special!

The Jar Salad shopping list:

  • 1 pack Bernard Matthew Roast Turkey Breast Chunks
  • 1 tin of sweetcorn
  • Chopped mixed pepper
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 apple
  • ½ a cucumber
  • Handful of lettuce
  • 1 carrot

  1. Wash the salad ingredients well in cold water, and pat dry
  2. Mix the apple, celery, sweetcorn and grated carrot with your dressing of choice
  3. Divide the lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions and green pepper between two pots
  4. Scatter half a pack of Roast Turkey Breast Chunks over each salad pot
  5. Spoon the crunchy dressing over each salad
  6. Cover tightly and refrigerate until lunchtime!
