Our Turkey
All our turkeys are 100% British. Every turkey egg is hatched in the UK and reared on our own farms, nearly all of which are located across Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire. We have full traceability from ‘Farm to Fork’ ensuring we provide the highest quality, tastiest turkey products. Our turkey feed contains locally grown wheat, and our state of the art production sites are also based in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Our farms, feed mill, production sites and hatchery are Quality British Turkey (QBT) and Assured Food Standards (Red Tractor) certified. This is a guarantee that you are buying British turkey that meets high standards of food safety, traceability and bird welfare.

The Bernard Matthews Youth Awards is one initiative that has been running since 2008 and has celebrated over 150 young people’s outstanding achievements across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Our History
In the 1950s, Bernard Matthews, with just 20 turkey eggs, and great entrepreneurial spirit, formed the beginnings of what was to become a great British brand. This business is now the UK's largest turkey producer, farming over 7 million turkeys each year and one of the region’s largest employers, with over 2,000 staff across East Anglia.
